Anachronisms

dcdirkzwager The band is clearly influenced by Refused. This can best be heard on the start of Merchants of Mirages and Labyrinth. But this band is no copy cat. They’ve also listened to emo and screamo bands (especially the latter I’d say). The end result is a dark, interesting mix; very powerful! Favorite track: Las Arañas.

1.
Into a maelstrom our yearnings are swallowed in. Grasping for air. It is never satisfied. Always incomplete and seeking the missing pieces while like plastic thoughts are being molded. Poisoned arrows aimed at our souls, aimed at our weakness, aimed at our sons. Behind your smokescreen there’s only greed, a fist of iron in a silken glove. Merchants of mirages barter misery. Your art won’t seduce us. Your lies won’t reduce us.
2.
Cursed Peaks 00:55
Those mountains have eyes, have arms, have guns. Cursed are they who reach their top to talk with gods. Ancient presence failing to disappear, failing to take control. We are all damned.
3.
Labyrinth 02:25
Take me inside a labyrinth. The more I lose, the more I find myself. The more I see, the less I know. Crows will witness this isolation. The pharos blackout marks an end, abrupt is the change of course. Run, now the maze has rolled the dice. Nothing is in the right place, nothing’s left behind. Unknown are the patterns, unknown are the trails. I know this could fix me just as it could be my grave.
4.
I walk alone and I lose control. The one you impose to me, the one I drag. I walk alone and I fucking lose control. This is our sunset. A collapsed bloom. A death foretold. A claim against the grain. Something never needed. Something never wanted. Meltdown.
5.
Adrift 03:17
Placed where wounds find their zenith, where embers rekindle again and again. Long since the bank vanished over the horizon. Long since everything was thrown away. In the middle of nothing, epicenter of everything. Adrift, drowning in my own hopeless dreams.
6.
The Wires 05:02
Progress. Unlimited growth. Lobbies and emotional dosing. Decay. Operational breakdown. Hold off grief till death starts dancing. Hold off, the gate ain’t closed. The wires that bind us to the roots run on a wrong basis, run on a wrong belief. A magnificent past echoes in our memories, values of an obsolete lore. Prayers, prayers are no longer heard by those false banners our dread had created. Are we feeding the wires? We hold off grief until death starts to dance. Staying angry, constantly fighting. The truth only shines when it burns. Life-long struggle. You are the weapon. The truth only shines when it burns.
7.
Siempre.
8.
II Origin 02:42
Epilogue for an unmarked tomb. Because you listened to the ones saying that you couldn’t instead of facing the facts spent a lifetime waiting for something that was within your grasp. Settled for stability and sacrificed the dreams. Imprisoned by anguish and imprisoned by fear. This is the place where you will start from scratch. Today is the day you’ll start over again. Nothing's ending, only changing. Leave the trenches, take your chances. Walk away, far away. Reborn! Leaving. A second origin.
